MEET THE EOS-1000 WEATHER SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR MARINE INDUSTRIES

The EOS marine module makes the regular EOS-1000 into a Marine version of the EOS-1000. Having a Weather system installed on a moving ship provides it challenges.
Where a land-based station is stationary and pointed towards the North, a moving vessel can travel in any direction and speed. Using the vessel’s GPS Speed and course, the EOS-1000M will calculate True wind speed and direction.
Often Weather conditions are observed different offshore than on land. Due to a lack of offshore environmental observation equipment, up-to-date weather conditions are difficult to tell . Therefore, this system was developed based on the customer’s requests to monitor real-time weather conditions while vessels are underway.
Together with EOS partner Seacoast Marine Electronics, the last installation is currently underway on board three large Ferries as well as one shore based Weather observation system on the East Coast of Canada.
